The cancellation link

When a client books, their confirmation includes a cancellation link. This guide explains what they see when they use it, so you know how it works.

What your client does

  1. They open the link (e.g. from their confirmation email or text).
  2. They see the Appointment Details — date, time, provider, and the service(s) with the total.
  3. If the appointment can still be cancelled, they click Cancel Appointment.
  4. They get a confirmation: "Appointment Cancelled — the business has been notified."

When a cancellation is allowed

The link enforces a few rules:

  • It only cancels a confirmed appointment. If it's already cancelled, the page says so; if it's completed or a no-show, it can't be cancelled from the link.
  • It honors your cancellation window — the page tells the client "Cancellations must be made at least N hour(s) before your appointment." That window comes from your service's cancellation setting (or your business default).
  • If the link is invalid or expired, they see Appointment Not Found.

On your end

A cancellation made through the link frees the slot on your calendar and notifies your business — so the time reopens for other bookings.
